Fisher’s Treats serves fresh, hot food and can deliver daily or deliver in bulk, depending on customer preference.
Rob started a service to provide top quality meals for his neighbours and friends to beat boredom during lockdown. He was furloughed from his job as a chef in March, set up a Facebook to extend the service in April and in June was ready to confirm his business as a permanent venture.
Takeup for his roast dinners and afternoon meals has been solid, and now he’s expanding into providing a regular service for those who struggle to cook for themselves every day.
Writing on Facebook, Rob said: “As an ever-expanding company I am glad to offer a bespoke service for you or a loved one. Do you struggle with cooking every day? Do you know someone who relies on others to provide them with a cooked meal every day?
“We offer fresh, hot food, delivered daily or in bulk if preferred. With smaller portions in mind we will create a bespoke menu for you to pick from.”
Rob’s menu caters for meat-eaters and vegetarians, with some dishes on offer including beef or vegetable lasagne, sausage and mash, cottage pie, chicken tikka masala, bacon carbonara and macaroni cheese. He’s also catered for people with specific dietary requirements.
The service can be ordered as either a five or seven day package, and Rob hopes it can be especially useful for the older community – those who have carers coming in to help with meal service, for example, or who just struggle to cook a full meal every evening.
