Peterborough’s leading appearance maker passed away yesterday, and now Posh fan Tommy Roberts is aiming to raise £1,000 for a memory flag in his honour to be displayed at the ground, with any additional funds going to charity.
As of publication the target is now just £85 short, and Tommy Roberts said: “To remember the Legend that was Tommy Robson I would like to organise a flag which can be displayed at the ground in his memory.
“All money raised with be used to pay for the flag with any extra raised donated to The Motor Neurone Disease Association to hopefully help to all those suffering with this horrible disease.
“I never had the pleasure of watching you play but I have been in your presence at a few events. Such a genuine man and from what I hear from older fans, a proper player!
“Gift Generously so we can show our support for his family at this difficult time.
“All updates will be available on my personal twitter at @TommyjRoberts”
Posh co-owner Stewart ‘Randy’ Thompson has already contributed £400 to the Fundraiser page, which can be found here
