Roadworks and traffic control: Planned resurfacing may cause delays

Road closures:

UK Power Networks are closing a lane at Rivergate from August 27 to September 3 to work on the electricity supply to the new Premier Inn site.

Grip Fibre surfacing and iron works will see St Paul’s Road closed between August 26 and September 16, from Alexander Road to the end of the road.

Lincoln Road will be affected by works from August 27 to September 17, from Burghley Road to Geneva Street.

Stamford Road in Marholm will be closed between Staxton Close and Heath Road from August 28 to September 18.

These Grip Fibre and iron works are also prompting road closures in Walton, along Willesden Avenue, Montagu Road and Fane Road. These will be ongoing from September 5 to September 28.

Whitewater in Orton Wistow will be closed for the same works from September 3 to September 24; Tantallon Court in Longthorpe and Bramall Court in Netherton will be closed from September 4 to September 25; Vere Road will be closed from September 8 to September 29.

Resurfacing works are to take place in Ringwood, Bretton from August 25 to August 26. Stamper Street and Tirrington will also be affected during these dates. 

From August 28 to September 1, Burton Street, from the Star Road junction to the mosque, will be closed for resurfacing.

Resurfacing may also cause delays in Eastfield, between Crawthorne Road junction and Whalley Street, and along Dickens Street, from September 1 to September. In Millfield, Bamber Street will be affected from September 4 to September 7 and Hankey Street from September 8 to September 9.

The entire length of the northbound carriageway of the Frank Perkins Parkway resurfaced from September 7 to November 6, with these works carried out at night.

Fletton Parkway Junction 3a is being resurfaced on September 4.

Hampton drivers will experience delays on September 1 and September 2 as works are carried out on The Serpentine Roundabout.

Crane work in Wentworth Street will see the road closed from September 7 to October 5.

Highways England are working on the A47 Eastbound slip road between junction 17 and 18 which will see the entry and exit slips closed between September 7 and September 11.

Traffic control:

Roadworks along Bretton Way mean that multi-way signals are will be in place from until October 2.

Multi-way signals will be in operation along Oundle Road in Woodston as CityFibre expands its Full-Fibre project. These roadworks are planned from September 1 to September 25.

CityFibre will also be working in along Wistow Way from September 2 to September 29, with traffic control in place for these dates.

Traffic control will be in place in Fletton from September 3 to September 7 so that Anglian Water can repair some pipes.

Milk and Water Drove in Stanground will have multi-way signals to control traffic as work is done from September 7 to September 25.

Footway cut and patch works in Eye will see traffic control in place from September 8 to September 10.
