Weather: Scattered showers and sunny spells throughout the week

The week will start bright, but it will become cloudier throughout the day with a mixture of sunny intervals and scattered showers. Showers may be heavy at times and it will remain breezy and cool with a maximum temperature of 12C.

Showers will continue through to this evening but overnight will be largely dry and clear. Winds will ease and the temperature will start to drop with a minimum of 5C.

Tomorrow, although a cold start, will see plenty of sunshine in the morning. Clouds are expected late morning and rain and stronger winds will arrive during the afternoon, with a maximum temperature of 12C.

Wednesday is expected to be cold and breezy, with a much wetter day on Thursday, though it’s looking hopeful to be a little brighter by Friday.
